This performance
Hans Williams is a renowned folk artist known for his soulful melodies and storytelling. His music resonates with themes of love and nature.
The Independent is a renowned concert venue located in San Francisco, known for its intimate atmosphere and excellent acoustics. On March 24, 2027, the club will host an exclusive performance by Hans Williams, a celebrated artist in the music scene.
Attendees can expect a night filled with engaging music and a unique experience. Doors typically open one hour before the show, allowing guests to settle in and enjoy the ambiance of the venue.
Based solely on one Thursday night (6.9.23) visit (The Blue Stones 💎, The Velveteers, and JAKE), The Independent is a fantastic venue I will happily return to any chance I get.
1) Parking is a total nightmare, get there as early as possible if you can to find a space. If you don't know how to parallel park, you might be out of luck. The area as a whole is safe/mostly residential. 2) The venue is a perfect size with a great staff. 3) The sound is amazing - didn’t need earplugs. 4) If you're disabled they will treat you right.
Edit 6.13.25: Another Thursday night in June, another Blue Stones show. Two years later, everything noted previously still applies.
Happy New Year 2026 and cheers to hopefully a year of more concerts and performances.
I came to see David Archuleta on his Earthly Delights tour and was so impressed by how intimate and comfortable the experience was at The Independent.
The staging area felt small but meant you could really get up close and personal with the artists. There was ample seating on the sides and on the second floor too if you'd like to avoid too much of the crowd, but can't go wrong with the space and being so close to the stage.
When it did get packed with guests coming in after the opener, I could tell the AC getting cranked up a notch to help with the sweltering gay heat exuding from all of us inside the venue.
Drinks here were served by the friendliest of bartenders with cocktails going for $14, not the worst for a concert venue. I enjoyed my Passion Fruit Rum that I got to nurse through the night.
Ticket checks were easy, bag checks were seamless, and I have to give props to the staff for making it a great experience.
